Travel Tips for Hemis National Park

Most visitors reach Hemis National Park via Leh, which has regular flights from Delhi. From Leh, you can hire a private taxi or join a shared jeep. The journey takes approximately 8 hours depending on road conditions.

At 3,300 meters, altitude sickness can be a concern. Spend at least 2 days acclimatizing in Leh before proceeding to Hemis National Park. Drink plenty of water and avoid strenuous activity on your first day.

Pack layers as temperatures vary widely. Essential items include sunscreen (SPF 50+), sunglasses, warm jacket, comfortable walking shoes, and any personal medications. Don't forget your camera!
