The best time to visit Ladakh is from May to September when the weather is pleasant and all passes are open. July and August offer warm days (15-20°C) but can be crowded. September offers clear skies and fewer tourists.
Indian nationals don't need permits for Leh district. However, permits are required for certain areas like Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Tso Moriri. Foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) which we can arrange for you.

1. Spend 2 full days in Leh (3,500m) for acclimatization before going higher

Yes, Ladakh is generally very safe for solo female travelers. The local culture respects women, and crime rates are low. However, standard precautions like avoiding isolated areas at night still apply. We can arrange female guides if preferred.

Transport & Connectivity
Postpaid connections (Airtel, BSNL) work best in Leh town. Jio has limited coverage. Internet is slow but available in Leh (2G/3G). Most remote areas (Nubra, Pangong) have no network. WiFi is available at hotels but with limited bandwidth.
Leh town has good roads. Highway conditions vary:
- Leh to Pangong: Mostly good but rough patches
- Leh to Nubra via Khardung La: Steep and winding
- Remote areas: Gravel/dirt roads
