These terms and conditions govern your use of our services and website. By booking with Ladakh Travel Experts, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Booking Terms

1.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings require a 30% deposit to confirm reservation.
  • Full payment must be made 30 days before tour commencement.
  • Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment.

1.2 Pricing

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless specified otherwise.
  • Prices are subject to change due to fuel costs, government taxes, or currency fluctuations.
  • Special offers cannot be combined with other discounts.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

2.1 Client Cancellations

  • 60+ days before departure: 90% refund
  • 30-59 days before departure: 50% refund
  • 15-29 days before departure: 25% refund
  • Less than 15 days: No refund
  • Special cancellation policies apply for Chadar Trek and winter expeditions.

2.2 Our Cancellations

  • We reserve the right to cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, political unrest, etc.).
  • In such cases, we offer alternative dates or full refund.
  • We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred (flights, visas, etc.).

3. Travel Requirements

3.1 Documents

  • Valid ID proof (Passport for foreigners, Aadhar for Indians)
  • Medical fitness certificate for high-altitude treks
  • Travel insurance (highly recommended)

3.2 Health & Fitness

  • Certain tours require minimum fitness levels.
  • Consult your physician before booking if you have health concerns.
  • We reserve the right to deny participation if health conditions may risk safety.

4. During the Tour

4.1 Itinerary Changes

  • Itineraries may change due to weather, road conditions, or other factors.
  • We will provide suitable alternatives when possible.
  • No refunds for itinerary changes beyond our control.

4.2 Participant Conduct

  • Follow guide instructions for safety.
  • Respect local customs and environment.
  • We may remove participants for dangerous or illegal behavior without refund.

5. Liability & Responsibility

  • We act as agents for hotels, transport providers, and other service providers.
  • We are not liable for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or property damage.
  • Participants are responsible for their own belongings.
  • We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

6. General Terms

6.1 Photography

  • We may use participant photos for promotional purposes unless requested otherwise.
  • Drones require special permits in Ladakh - consult us before bringing.

6.2 Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by Indian law.
  • Disputes will be settled in courts in Leh, Ladakh.

7. Agreement

By booking with Ladakh Travel Experts, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
  • You understand the risks associated with high-altitude travel.
  • You meet all health and fitness requirements for your chosen tour.
